Sarah stanczyk’s coaching focuses on fostering a love of the game, growth as a person, healthy competition and creating community through soccer!
We believe in the limitless potential of all youth soccer players! Everything we can do used to be something we couldn't.
"The opportunity for creativity begins the moment we don't know what we're doing"
Play is the first time we experience "flow state", the ever elusive zone of genius we chase as adults. What can you do all day and night for free? Kids have that level of motivation for play! We focus on the power of play in developing youth soccer athletes. Check out our Presidents Day 3v3 Soccer Tournament, Thunder in the Bay!
From early ages we develop a "fixed" or "growth" mindset. The latter fosters a love of challenges and development! We empower players to see failure as a stepping stone in their growth. Failure doesn't mean they never will succeed, it just means...NOT YET! We see the limitless potential in all youth soccer players!
Did you know the original definition of the word compete was "to strive together"? The best athletes in the world would not have achieved their success without someone to challenge them. As a youth soccer coach, it's vital we embrace our competitors as worthy rivals, not a measuring stick of our personal value. Whether they’re from Palo Alto, San Carlos, Mountain View or outer space, we recognize the importance of healthy competition!
My old coach used to say "the ball's round to go round!". I never understood until recently what he meant was, soccer is a sport played in community. Imagine being at your child's game and your neighbor is down the sideline, your kid's babysitter is officiating the game and your favorite food truck is selling at the match. It's more fun when we Play! together!
